The world would be a dull place without words.

You can tell a joke with pictures, but you can tell a lot more with words.  And who doesn't enjoy a joke now and then?

It's hard to tell someone how you feel without words.

With words peoople can discuss matters, and decide what is best to do, how to organise our world, how to sort out problems, how to compromise and keep the peace, how to make sure everyone is looked after.

Using words we keep each other up-to-date on what is going on, in our lives, our families, our towns, our countries, our world, and beyond.

And words tell stories.  I love stories.  They can educate, convey ideas, and entertain.  Being entertained is a great pleasure.

Doing the entertaining is a pleasure.

I hope I manage it.
